A SEAT BELT LAW? IN NEW HAMPSHIRE?!?!

If this bill passes, and New Hampshire becomes yet another nanny state, and you DIDN'T do everything in your power to stop it... will you be able to live with yourself?

We need to hit 2 more Senate districts this weekend:
Saturday: Sen. Peggy Gilmour
Brookline, Hollis, Mason, and Wards 1, 2, 5, and 9 in the city of Nashua.
Meetup Location: Nashua Mall Parking Lot (Kohl’s, Starbuck’s)

Sunday: Sen. Michael Downing
Atkinson, Pelham, Plaistow and Salem
Meetup Location: Margarita’s Parking Lot  (This makes for an easy caravan over to Salem)

Brett Powell is coordinating both drops. We need volunteers, no matter where you're from. Please contact Brett ASAP at Brett_7676(at)hotmail.com or 785 393-3392

People will break up into teams of 2-4 per car, drive to strategically-chosen neighborhoods, and leave flyers at each house.

This is real, effective political activism. There's a reason the enemies of liberty do it! I can't guarantee it'll stop the law. I can guarantee this is the most effective thing that can be done to stop it.

Key points:
    * Never put anything in a U.S. mailbox. Our opposition would love to file Federal charges against us, and the NHLA's URL is on the flyers.
    * Newspaper tubes (Union Leader, Nashua Telegraph, etc) are fair game, and very desirable drop locations
    * Inside a screen door or outside door is a great place to leave a flyer
    * When in doubt, skip the place. Better to miss a few homes than to be perceived as litterbugs
    * No need to knock on doors; this isn't a candidate campaign, we're just leaving flyers
    * If anyone comes out, just offer them a flyer. If they refuse, no problem, just move on to the next house. If they want to debate, it's up to the person flyering -- just always be diplomatic
    * NO OPEN CARRY WHILE FLYERING. Keep issues separate. We wouldn't smoke pot at a school choice event, right? right!?!? Wink

This is just the second of several weekends that we'll be flyering Senate districts. We need people Saturday and Sunday at strategic locations throughout the state each weekend through end of April (when the Senate is expected to vote)

Updated with meetup locations from Brett... please contact Brett if you plan to help!

Polls show that the majority of NH folks support seat belt laws for adults.  Could putting these at every house be bad?  May it encourage a bunch of people to contact their state senate in support of the bill?

Also, does anyone know the number of this bill?

Yep. Bills don’t get renumbered during cross-over. The Senate considers all the HBs now, and the House the SBs.

(There are enough numbers flying around… HB123, amendment 2009-0123h, chaptered law 123:4, RSA 123:4… do we need more numbers to remember?)
